Joanne K. Cheung is an artist and designer.

I study how people, buildings, and media contribute to democratic governance. I can be found here, here, and here.

what I make:

Horizon: photographs of the ocean typeset into a book of poems.

Unbuilt: a pavilion materializing 200 communally-sourced architectural designs that have never been built.

Beach: an art installation visualizing the post-climate change waterfront as a beach party.

The Filmballad of Mamadada: a feature-length biopic of a Dada artist made by playing a game of exquisite corpse with 50 people.
